Winter Classes and Courses

Learn about popular Voice Acting genres like commercial, cartoon and video games and dive into how to perform behind a mic! Students will be encouraged to perform both solo and group voice acting scripts in front of their peers. This is an ONLINE course that will be hosted on ZOOM.

Learn to create strong characters for animated and video game voiceovers! This class will focus on building characters that you can add to your voiceover tool belt and call upon whenever you need them. Expect some improv, voicework and performing in front of your peers!

Students will learn to select, prepare and deliver monologues and learn the fundamentals of self-tapes focusing on proper setup and performance delivery. Emphasis will be placed on developing strong character choices, mastering camera presence and showcasing their work through self-tapes.

This class is all about spontaneity and thinking on your feet! Students will practice improvisation skills and principles that encourage quick thinking, collaboration and creativity. Expect lots of laughter, teamwork and out-of-the-box performances!

Students will be encouraged to perform both solo and group voice acting scripts in front of their peers. All skill levels welcome!

Students will dive deep into scenes from film and TV, with a focus on specific, detailed character development. Students will learn tools to analyze and prepare scenes, while developing the adaptability and listening skills that are required when working with other actors.

You'll learn the skills and principles of improv: listening, YES AND, object-work, risk-taking, environmental engagement, character work and relationship. Have fun working those creative muscles and expressing yourself!

Whether it’s commercial, episodic, or feature film—Roles with less than five lines are an integral part of any project. Learn how to effectively nail those auditions and get you booked! We’ll figure out the purpose for your small role and what function you play in the whole story.

Students will learn text analysis tools including the moments before and after, beats, tactics, and objectives, and will practice practical methods of integrating this analysis into performance. this class will demystify the actor’s process from start to finish.

Young actors will explore their imaginations through storytelling, movement and acting games. Students will build confidence and creativity while learning the basics of acting in a supportive and interactive environment.

This class is an in-depth analysis of scene work with a focus on specific, detailed character development. We will work on material from film and theatre; class will begin with a cold read and some background on acting techniques.

You got the audition! Now what? From self-tapes to callbacks, solid preparation is the key to nailing the audition. Through script analysis, in-class feedback on self-tapes, and mock callback auditions, learn to walk into any type of audition and commit to the kind of bold choices that book roles.

Along with learning more about performing behind the mic, this class will dive into some of the specifics of the business side of Voice Acting. Learn more about marketing yourself as a Voice Actor, managing your auditions, working towards building a website, what gear to buy and how to make your own at home studio!
